Kendall Jenner Channels Venus in New Adidas Ad, Fans Are Unimpressed

Set to Frank Sinatra's 'My Way', the video sees the 21-year-old beauty lying down inside a glass capsule while rocking Adidas crop tee, bikini-cut underwear and Adidas sneakers.

AceShowbiz - Guess you have to be a superstar to promote Superstars. Kendall Jenner is featured in a new lavish Adidas ad, which serves as the third installment for the brand's "ORIGINAL is never finished" campaign. Channeling goddess of love Venus, the supermodel rocks Adidas crop tee, bikini-cut underwear and a pair of Adidas sneakers.

Set to a rendition of Frank Sinatra's "My Way", the video sees the 21-year-old beauty lying down inside a glass capsule, before she dramatically opens her eyes. Botticelli's The Birth of Venus is glimpsed as it mirrors Kendall's position. The Victoria's Secret model later trades her previous outfit for black skintight outfit to form an artistic imagery of Lenardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man alongside James Harden, 21 Savage, Playboy Carti and Young Thug.

Adidas also takes to its Instagram account to post another video from the ad, highlighting Kendall's part. "I did what I had to do. I faced it all, and I stood tall," she says in the footage, before adding, "I did it my way." Adidas captions the sci-fi-infused video, "Venus reborn @KendallJenner for #ORIGINALis."

However, if you take a look at the comment section, some fans of the brand are extremely displeased with Adidas' decision to tap Kendall as the model. "How about an athlete representative? How about someone who had to struggle with real challenges to do it their way? Bad choice @adidasoriginals I won't buy anything from you until her contract is done. You can do way better than THIS," writes @holmeschapel94. @darthalan adds, "Long time supporter of adidas.... first Kanye West and now this?! STOP making stupid people famous."

"Should have brought a pepsi," writes @lavitanuova12, making a sarcastic reference to Kendall's controversial Pepsi commercial. Similarly, @jayson2262 snarks, "God damn not candle Jenner please."

The sister of Kylie Jenner previously landed in hot water after starring in the soda brand's protest-themed ad. People were enraged by the fact that they trivialized resistance protests to sell soda and made it seem like major issues such as police brutality among others could be solved by a can of Pepsi.
