Taylor Swift Testifies in Groping Trial: He Grabbed My Bare Bottom

The 'Style' singer says former radio host David Mueller 'stayed latched on to my bare ass cheek' 'long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional.'

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift took the stand on the fourth day of a groping trial involving former Colorado DJ David Mueller. Donning a floral summer dress, the pop star described the alleged incident that happened during a photo shoot before her concert in 2013.

"It was a definite grab. A very long grab," she told Mueller's attorney Gabriel McFarland. When asked how long the alleged grab took place, Swift replied, "I don't think it would be wise to estimate time in court, but I know it was long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional."

When asked if his client grabbed her "bare bottom," Swift said, "Yes." She added, "He stayed latched on to my bare ass cheek... I felt him grab onto my ass cheek underneath my skirt. The first couple of milliseconds I thought it must be a mistake, so I moved to the side very quickly so that his side would be removed from my ass cheek, but it didn't let go."

The 27-year-old singer recalled her reaction at the time, "It was a very shocking thing that has never happened to me before. This was not something I had ever dealt with. I got as far away from him as I possibly could."

Swift added, "Rather than grabbing my ass outside of my clothing, he grabbed my ass underneath my clothing. He was busy grabbing my ass underneath my skirt, so he didn't grab it outside of my skirt." She asserted that her bodyguard at the event Greg Dent saw Mueller "reach under my skirt and grab my ass."

McFarland then asked Swift if Dent tried to stop Mueller after the alleged incident. "No," she replied. Calling Mueller's action "a devious and sneaky act," she continued, "There was a wall behind me."

The lawyer also asked Swift if she was critical or questioned Dent's protection of her. "What Mr. Mueller did was, like I said, very intentional and the location was very intentional and it happened very quickly and I wasn't going to blame Greg Dent for something Mr. Mueller did," she said. "I am critical of your client sticking his hand under my skirt and grabbing my ass."

Swift left the stand after just over an hour.

Mueller claimed at the trial on Wednesday that he may have touched Swift's ribs with his knuckles during the encounter. "Because I was a larger person, I thought it would be a good idea if I closed my hand, so I didn't poke Taylor with my fingers," he said.

Mueller was fired by his radio station after Swift reported the alleged incident. Mueller sued Swift, her mother Andrea and her management team in 2015, accusing them of slander and getting him fired. Swift then countersued him, seeking $1 "to let people know you can say no and that grabbing a woman's rear is an assault."
