Realizing that she may have dropped a major spoiler, the Emmy-winning actress retracts her statement about her character's marital status.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Paulson has let slip a detail of her character on "American Horror Story: Cult". At the Television Critics Association's press tour on Wednesday, August 9, she revealed that her character Ally is married. Even bigger than that, she revealed who Ally's spouse is.

"There are two women married to each other in that house, but who are they?" Paulson said. She then pointed to herself and Alison Pill before dropping the spoiler, "It's me and Alison." Pill looked shocked over the slip. Realizing that she may have spilled the beans, Paulson quickly added, "That may or may not be true."

Paulson will play Ally Mayfair-Richards, while Pill will portray Ivy Mayfair-Richards. Co-creator Ryan Murphy previously revealed that Paulson's Ally and Evan Peters' Kai would be a couple, which means Ally is a bisexual should the information Paulson shared be true.

As for the theme which would have to do with the election and Donald Trump, executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall explained at the TCA, "I would say honestly that when Ryan had made the announcement originally that the season would deal with Trump, it's more about what's going on in the world around us. We talk about the streak of paranoia, and a lot of it launches from that. It's not what you think it is. As with all good horror and suspense, knowing less is so much more. But it's an element in our launch point."

The seventh season of "AHS" will premiere September 5 on FX.
