AceShowbiz - Joshua Allen was sentenced to 1 year behind bars for domestic violence. The winner of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 4 back in 2008 was convicted for physical assault against his ex-girlfriend.

The dancer from North Hollywood pleaded no contest to domestic violence and felony assault on Thursday, August 3. According to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, the 28-year-old "willingly injured" his ex-girlfriend after a prior conviction and assault with a deadly weapon and a glass vase.

TMZ reported that Joshua went after his ex-girlfriend back in June before later chasing her into a coffee shop. The "Step Up 3-D" actor allegedly threw the glass vase at a woman who tried to step in. The site further reported that he trashed the shop before "good Samaritans" took him down. Prior to this, he assaulted and strangled his ex-girlfriend back in April last year.

In addition to one year in county jail, Joshua was sentenced to five years of formal probation and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling. He was also ordered to stay away from the victim for a decade.
