AceShowbiz - Lena Dunham has landed in hot water. The 31-year-old actress called out American Airlines' flight attendants for having a "transphobic talk" at the John F. Kennedy International Airport, but people weren't impressed by her action.
The "American Horror Story: Cult" actress overheard the conversation while she was waiting for her flight. "Not gonna call out the airline who delayed cuz s**t happens BUT I did just overhear 2 @AmericanAir attendants having a transphobic talk," she tweeted.

"At this moment in history we should be teaching our employees about love and inclusivity @AmericanAir. That was worst part of this night," Lena continued.

She then sent direct messages to make sure that the airline would respond to her claims. "Hi I heard 2 female attendants walking talking about how trans kid are a trend they'd never accept a trans child and transness in gross," Lena wrote.
"I think it reflects badly on uniformed employees of your company to have that kind of dialogue going on. What if a trans teen was walking behind them?" she went on saying. "Awareness starts at home but jobs can set standards of practice. Thank you for your consideration!"

Although Lena only wanted to make the flight attendants realize that they did something wrong, fans thought that she should have talked to them herself instead of addressing the matter on social media. "You could've stopped and talk to them and try to educate them or something. Not making them lose their job," @havingyourbabyy tweeted.

@415cALY added, "Why not address the people directly instead of telling their boss @lenadunham. Pple 2 pple communication is a better way 2 transform minds." @BrownGerbil quipped, "They are intolerant of transgenders. You are intolerant of them. The only solution is using your celebrity to ruin their careers."

@so_and_so called her "despicable," writing, "You just got hard working people fired Lena. You are despicable. The most intolerant people are on the left."
