Ron Howard reveals he reunites with his 'Willow' star for the upcoming stand-alone 'Star Wars' movie.

AceShowbiz - Warwick Davis joins the upcoming Han Solo film. Director Ron Howard reveals that the "Life's Too Short" star has landed a role in the stand-alone "Star Wars" movie, which is currently re-shooting with Howard replacing Phil Lord and Chris Miller on the helm.

Howard confirms Davis' casting when responding to a fan who asks on Twitter when fans might get a sequel to his 1998 fantasy film "Willow", which starred Davis. "Glad you are asking for one! I directed @WarwickADavis for the 1st time in 30 years today. It made me happy," he replied to the question.

Details of Davis' role are not shared yet. He's no stranger to the franchise, though, as he previously starred as the beloved Ewok, Wicket W. Warrick, in 1993's "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi". He also played assorted characters in 1999's "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace", 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and 2016's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story".

The untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II stars Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo, Donald Glover as Han Solo's buddy Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Han Solo's mentor named Beckett, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, with Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Ian Kenny and Michael K. Williams taking on other roles.

Scripted by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, the "Star Wars" spin-off is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on May 25, 2018.
