AceShowbiz - Amid rumors she's being eyed to be the newest Bond Girl in the next James Bond movie, Cara Delevingne has expressed her interest in taking on the role of 007 instead. She made the confession when attending the European premiere of her new film "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" on Monday, July 24.

"I want to be James Bond," Cara told The Sun newspaper. "Women do it just as well," added the the 24-year-old model-turned-actress, who sported platinum pixie hair and went braless in a black suit at the premiere that took place at London's Leicester Square.

This comes on the heels of recent report saying that Daniel Craig has been confirmed to return as the iconic spy for "Bond 25", while Cara is believed to be considered to take on the role of the newest Bond Girl.

"Cara's value really has exploded in a short time in Hollywood. They feel she could play a fierce spy working alongside the main protagonist," a film studio source previously said, before adding that "the role would not be arm candy, but a kick-a**, strong character."

No director is attached to the 25th James Bond film as of now, but "Dunkirk" helmer Christopher Nolan has been rumored to serve behind the lens. The movie will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. It is set to be released in U.S. theaters on November 8, 2019, "with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world," the official Twitter account of the movie has announced.
