Instead, the 24-year-old British stunner admitted that acting was something she had wanted to do her entire life as it was her 'only real escape' during her rough teenage days.

AceShowbiz - Despite her global success, modeling apparently is not what Cara Delevingne wants. The "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" star opened up to Radio Times that she surprisingly didn't like herself "as a model."

"I didn't like what I stood for. I didn't like what it was turning me into," she explained. The 24-year-old, who rose to fame after signing with elite agency Storm and winning Model of the Year twice, added, "Not that I was focused about how I looked all the time, but it is kind of about that."

"That is not me at all-you speak to all my oldest best friends and they know I'm not a model," Cara, who once hit the catwalk for the likes of Burberry, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana, emphasized. "I do not give a s**t about what I look like," said the English beauty.

However, Cara revealed that she hasn't quit modeling. She would continue being a model as long as she would be given privilege of creatively direct her own shoots. "Now when I model, I get to style my own shoots and decide who I work with. Now it's become a creative outlet, instead of me being used as a pawn," Cara explained.

In the interview, the "Suicide Squad" actress admitted that she was more comfortable being an actress. "To be honest, acting is something I've wanted to do my entire life," she said.

"It really teaches me so much about myself and about life, and that's what I've always wanted to do. It makes me very happy," she explained, before adding that acting was like her "only real escape" when she suffered from depression as a teenager. "I was in every play. I definitely wanted to go to drama school so badly. I loved theatre."
