Following her split from Wissam Al Mana, the singer has returned to Los Angeles as she 'wants her son to have a close relationship with her mother and family.'

AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson is moving back to Los Angeles. A source tells Entertainment Tonight that the 51-year-old singer has returned to the Californian city from N.Y.C. with her 6-month-old son Eissa, following her split from husband Wissam Al Mana, so she can be closer to her family.

"Los Angeles has always been home for Janet and she is enjoying having her family so close," the source says. "It's especially important to her because she wants her son to have a close relationship with her mother and family. Everyone is so happy to have her back home [in L.A.]."

The source adds that upon her return to L.A., the "Rhythm Nation" singer has started working on the final preparations for her "State of the World" tour. Preparing for the big event means getting into shape, and the new mom allegedly has already lost more than 65 pounds.

The "All for You" singer is said to be "focused on a rigorous exercise routine and eating clean" ahead of her tour. The insider dishes, "She'll hit the stage with the passion and fire that her fans have come to expect from her when her tour starts on Sept. 7."

Aside from her upcoming tour and being a full-time mother, Janet is in negotiations for a documentary that will showcase what goes on behind the scenes of her tour as well as her life as both a performer and as a new mom. It sounds like she's doing just fine even without the help and support of her estranged husband Wissam.
