The cast of the MTV reality series will be coming back together for a new unscripted series about their reunion.
The "Jersey Shore" cast is officially heading back to television. After swirling rumors about their potential reunion, the stars of the once hit MTV reality series will be coming back together for a new docuseries on E!.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the unscripted project is called "Reunion Road Trip" and will center on the cast's reunion as they drive "down memory lane, making familiar stops along the way - sharing stories, revisiting hot spots and catching up on each other's current lives."
Viewers will catch up with them as "the lifelong friends" "gossip about each other's lives, what has been said about them in the press, the juiciest moments and stories from behind the scenes that we never saw, and most of all talk about the pop culture hit that has bonded them forever. "
Rumors about the "Jersey Shore" reunion special sparked after the cast was spotted filming on Point Pleasant beach earlier this moonth. The "Jersey Shore" reunion will act as the pilot episode for the series. Greg Lipstone, Simon Knight, Adam Greener, Emily Mayer and Lauren Stevens will exec produce the series.
Recently, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, DJ Pauly D, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino and Sammi Giancola also reunited to film a Burger King commercial which has been released online. However, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was noticeable missing from the pack.
