AceShowbiz - A new mutant added to the upcoming "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" has been revealed. Entertainment Weekly learns that Dazzler will finally be brought to life in the next installment after the female mutant was long rumored to make an appearance in the superhero franchise.
The last movie, "X-Men: Apocalypse", initially had a reference to the mutant that has the powers to manipulate lights, but the scene was eventually removed from the final cut. Sophie Turner who played Jean Grey later teased the deleted scene on Instagram.
Jean Grey and a fellow mutant played by Tye Sheridan came across Dazzler's album at a record store. "#FlashbackFriday to that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favorite singer's album (pre 1989, of course)," Turner wrote in the 2016 post.
It's unclear who will play Dazzler. The character is rumored to have a small role in the eleventh "X-Men" installment. Taylor Swift was once linked to the role, but the new report claims the country/pop singer is unlikely to play the part.
