'I'm currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder,' the professional golfer writes on his Twitter account.

AceShowbiz - Tiger Woods is ready to get some "professional help." The pro golfer has taken to his Twitter account to announce that he is seeking "professional help" to help him manage his medications after being arrested on a DUI charge a few weeks ago in Florida.

"I'm currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder," the 41-year-old athlete said on his Twitter on Monday, June 19. He added, "I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding especially the fans and players on tour."

In the early morning on May 29, Woods was taken into custody at around 3 A.M. in Jupiter, Florida along Military Trail, south of Indian Creek Parkway. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked at the Palm Beach County Jail at 7.18 A.M., and was released from custody at 10.50 A.M.

"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions," Woods previously said in a statement. "I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly," he added.

Originally scheduled for July 5, his arraignment was delayed last week until August 9. As breath tests showed no presence of alcohol, Woods could qualify for reckless driving, which results in probation, fine and other conditions such as taking a DUI course.
