The 'Passengers' actress was on a flight from her home town when both engines of her private plane failed mid-air.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence's private plane was forced to make an emergency landing recently due to double-engine failure. The terrifying incident happened when the "Joy" actress was on a flight from her home town of Louisville, Kentucky.

According to E! News, one of the engines failed at 31,000 feet. While the pilots were in the middle of making the unscheduled landing, the other engine failed. Fortunately, the plane landed safely in Buffalo, New York and the star was uninjured.

Jennifer Lawrence was last seen in sci-fier "Passengers" along with Chris Pratt in 2016. The Oscar winner also starred in superhero flick "X-Men: Apocalypse" last year, making her final appearance as Raven or better known Mystique. She will next star in psychological thriller "Mother!" and spy thriller "Red Sparrow".
