Will Dominic Cooper's Heath Return to 'The Walking Dead' After '24: Legacy' Cancellation?
TV

Heath was last seen on AMC's zombie-themed series in the first half of season 7, when he was separated from Tara during their supply run.

AceShowbiz - When FOX officially announced that "24: Legacy" was canceled after only one season, it gives "The Walking Dead" fans a bigger hope that Dominic Cooper will rejoin the show. His character Heath has disappeared since the actor took the lead on "24: Legacy", but the door was left open for his possible return.

Heath was last seen in season 7's episode 6 titled "Swear", during which he was separated from Tara on the bridge during their supply run. Tara ended up in Oceanside, while Heath who left a message of "PPP" has not been seen since.

With "24: Legacy" being canceled, Cooper may now have some free time on his schedule, but nothing has been confirmed about his return to the AMC series. Should he rejoin the hit drama, the chance is small to see him in early episodes of season 8 since the new season is several weeks into production now.

It also should be noted that "24: Legacy" wrapped production months ago, so the fact that there's no word about Cooper's involvement in the upcoming season means his character has not been written back into the storyline. But there's always a possibility for him to come back on the show as long as it's not killed off, like what the writers did to Sonequa Martin-Green's Sasha as the actress landed a lead role on "Star Trek: Discovery".

"The Walking Dead" season 8 will premiere in October on AMC.
