The country star says he flew to Hawaii seven times in about three months 'trying to talk to her about coming back. And the seventh trip I convinced her.'

AceShowbiz - Sam Hunt has revealed how far he went to win back his now-wife Hannah Lee Fowler before they tied the knot. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the country singer said he was continuously flying to Hawaii last summer to persuade his girl to get back together after they had broken up.

"I think last summer I went out [to Hawaii] about seven times in about three months," Hunt told the news outlet when attending the CMT Awards on Wednesday, June 7 in a dark henley shirt and matching pants. "Trying to talk to her about coming back. And the seventh trip I convinced her."

Sam and Hannah, who dressed up in matching black ensemble at the show hosted by Charles Esten, had been dating on-and-off since 2008. They got married on April 15 in his hometown of Cedartown, Georgia after announcing their engagement in January.

During the interview, Sam gushed about their wedding day. "It was perfect," he said. "Hannah was happy, and that was my number one priority, so it worked out. My family was there. I got to spend time with people I haven't gotten to see in a while and celebrate a special time in my life and in my wife's life, and our families lives, so it was a really, a really great moment."

Sam admitted that his new bride had sacrificed a lot for him just in these first few weeks of their marriage. "She has her own life and her ambitions and her own dreams and things are important to her, and I want to support those as much as she's supported me," he said. "I think it's been a little lopsided these first few weeks of marriage, so I owe her for sure... but she's having fun."
