AceShowbiz - Donald Trump just made another shocking move. The President announced on June 1 his decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord and is now taking serious heat from The Weather Channel, which clearly thinks this is a bad idea.
In the wake of President Trump's decision to pull out of the agreement, the cable channel has devoted nearly all of its website's home page to pointing out that global warming exists. It posted countless articles that show how rising temperatures are destroying the planet.
"So, What Happens to Earth Now?", "Still Don't Care? Proof You Should" and "...Or the Imminent Collapse of a Key Ice Shelf..." are some of the headlines posted on the website, which sound like a subtle jab at the President.
The U.S. is the first country to have officially announced its intentions on notifying the depositary of withdrawal. The withdrawal is effective 1 year after notifying the depositary. Leonardo DiCaprio, an environmental activist, slammed Trump's decision as "careless" on Twitter and Instagram, while former president Barack Obama issued a statement that calls out the new President's "absence of American leadership."
