The 'Luke Cage' actress was reportedly heading downstairs in her Venice Beach apartment when she found her cousin Vaneza Ines Vazquez unconscious on Thursday, May 11.

AceShowbiz - Rosario Dawson reportedly discovered her cousin Vaneza Ines Vazquez dead in her L.A. home. According to a report from TMZ, the 38-year-old actress was heading downstairs in her Venice Beach apartment when she found her 26-year-old cousin unconscious on Thursday, May 11.
The site says that Dawson had immediately called paramedics, but they could not resuscitate Vazquez after transporting her to hospital. The "Luke Cage" actress' cousin allegedly had been suffering from migraines and had hypertension.
Toxicology results are still pending, but the site says that early autopsy results indicate Vazquez died from natural causes. Additionally, sources claim that Vazquez, who worked for Dawson, didn't have any history of substance abuse.
Vazquez's mother, Lisa Centeno, paid tribute to her via Facebook. "Vaneza, my sweet, sweet beautiful baby - your passing has left me destroyed forever but I know you are at peace in Paradise. I love you, my alpha child," she wrote.
