The seven-member boyband has confirmed that they will attend the award-giving event in hopes to win Top Social Artist Award.

AceShowbiz - Good news has come for K-Pop fans, especially for the BTS ARMY. Following many demands from fans on social media, Bangtan Boys is confirmed to make their U.S. red carpet debut at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The Korean boyband took to Twitter to show off the invitation, and announce that they would bless the event with their presence at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 21.

BTS has been nominated for Top Social Artist category in the event, competing against Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes. "It feels like a dream to be invited to the Billboard Awards, where only successful international artists get invited. This is all thanks to ARMY all over the world. Thank you so much. It's a huge honor to be invited to the ceremony," the group said.

Their nomination for the category is no surprise as they are a viral powerhouse on YouTube, with their music videos for "Not Today", "Spring Day" and "Change" gaining more than 100 million views since the release in March. In addition, the group's latest album "Wings" sold over a million copies around the world and debuted at No. 26 on Billboard 200 chart.

Rap Monster & Co. recently wrapped up their North American tour, and are currently on their Asian leg of the tour. "We truly believe that all our songs are 'trans-national,' which means there's no boundaries in terms of music genres or lyrics because we make music we like as a listener," they previously said.
