The 32-year-old singer has turned down speculations about her writing a diss track in response to Taylor's 'Bad Blood', saying, 'This record is not about anyone else.'

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry couldn't make it clearer for everyone that her new album would not feature a diss track. In anticipation of the new album release, the "Dark Horse" hitmaker has confirmed that the upcoming effort would not be about anyone, including Taylor Swift.

The rumors of Katy-Taylor feud have sparked since the release of Taylor's song "Bad Blood" three years ago. At that time, Taylor said that the track was about her fellow songstress, who was believed to be Katy. That is why people have been wondering if Katy would clap back at her competitor on her new music.

"I think [it's] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that's calling out any one person," she told Entertainment Weekly. "One thing to note is: You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that's not to any one person and don't quote me that it is, and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story."

She added, "This record is not about anyone else. This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else. It's not even about me! It's about everything that I see out there that I digest. I think there's a healing in it for me and vulnerability. If people want to connect and be healed and feel vulnerable and feel empowered and strong, God bless, and here it is."

Katy also revealed that she had written 40 songs, but had to cut it down to 15 tracks for her upcoming album, including "Chained to the Rhythm" and "Bon Appetit". She claimed that her new album would be more about her experiences to maturity. "It's all kind of beautiful. I built up Katy Perry, and she was so fun. And I still am Katy Perry, and I love her so much but, at the core, I'm Katheryn Hudson, and I think that's being revealed as I embrace who I really am," she said.
