Paris Jackson to Make Feature Film Debut in Nash Edgerton's Dark Comedy

The daughter of Michael Jackson, who recently appeared in an episode of TV series 'Star', will portray 'an edgy 20-year-old' girl named Nelly.

AceShowbiz - Paris Jackson is on board to star in Amazon's untitled Nash Edgerton project. Directed by Nash Edgerton, the dark comedy will also feature David Oyelowo, Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron, Yul Vazquez, Thandie Newton and Sharlto Copley.

The film is written by Anthony Tambakis and Matt Stone. Nash Edgerton will produce the movie along with Theron, Rebecca Yeldham, Anthony Tambakis, Beth Kono and A.J. Dix.

According to Deadline, the 19-year-old star will portray "an edgy 20-year-old" girl named Nelly. Oyelowo, meanwhile, will play a newly-married American businessman named Harold Soyinka, who is crossing the line from citizen to criminal.

Set in Mexico, the movie sees Oyelowo's Harold dealing with "duplicitous business partners, Mexican drug lords, international mercenaries and the DEA. As he attempts to survive in one [of] the most dangerous places on Earth, the question lingers: Is this ordinary man in way over his head, or is he two steps ahead?"

The untitled Nash Edgerton project will mark Jackson's feature film debut. Recently, the daughter of the late pop icon Michael Jackson appeared in an episode of TV series "Star". Edgerton, meanwhile, made his feature film directorial debut with 2008's Australian thriller "The Square".
