The 46-year-old rapper reportedly checks into rehab after canceling three concerts in California due to 'medical emergency.'

AceShowbiz - DMX reportedly checked into rehab on Thursday, April 27, after canceling three shows in West Coast, California. The "Party Time" hitmaker was unable to perform due to an unspecified medical issue. "It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer," his manager, Pat Gallo, said in a statement.

According to TMZ, DMX entered a treatment center in Southern California. A source told the website that he flew to California because he felt he was "moving to a dark place" and wanted to make sure he stayed on the right path.

Prior to canceling some of his shows, the "X Gon' Give It to Ya" rapper went on "an incoherent rant" during his Brooklyn concert last week, making fans wonder if he was okay. A video featuring him "ranting" was posted on YouTube shortly after the concert. Some concertgoers claimed that he struggled to finish his performance and looked nervous before started ranting.

However, some fans said that it wasn't a rant, but a sermon. "He said something that really helped me, 'The devil works overtime to f**k up ur life when ur getting closer to God!' He was telling truth but u have to be going thru it to understand," a fan commented. Another added, "I heard him clearly. On the video showing the whole show, it appeared that his mic was turned down. That would explain some not hearing him. Some didn't try to hear him. These bandwagon reporters are pathetic and so are the people that are falling for the negative perception."

This wasn't the first time DMX dealt with a serious health issue. In February 2016, he collapsed and stopped breathing at a parking lot in New York City. According to an eyewitness, the rapper "ingested" a powder before he collapsed. DMX later denied all allegations that he took drugs and said that he collapsed from bronchitis.
