Johnny Depp has made a surprise visit to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. On Wednesday evening, April 26, the 53-year-old actor wowed the Pirates of the Caribbean riders by dressing in full Jack Sparrow costume as he stood among audio-animatronics.
Showcasing the beloved character's drunken swagger, slurred speech and flailing hand gestures, Depp was able to surprise dozens of riders as they rode in their boats. As seen in some videos shared on Twitter by fans, he could be heard repeating lines from the movie.

An eyewitness told E! News, "Everyone was surprised, shocked and excited to see him," adding, "He acted exactly like his character in the movies." Another parkgoer said, "It was a surreal moment for everyone on our boat! Crazy experience. Best Disneyland experience our family has ever been a part of."
It seems Depp's surprise appearance at the theme park is to hype up the release of the fifth movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". Slated to hit U.S. theaters on May 29, the swashbukler flick sees the return of Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.
