The 40-year-old singer says that he 'doesn't blame' people who have a hard time believing that he is dating his fellow 'The Voice' coach, Gwen Stefani.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton says he understands that it's hard to believe that Gwen Stefani wants to date him during an interview with "Today". The country singer sits down for a chat along with the other "The Voice" coaches, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

"In people's defense, I think it's so hard for people to wrap their head around why Gwen would want to be with me," Blake admits when asked about why his relationship with Gwen receives so much attention. "I don't blame 'em," he adds. Gwen shakes her head at his confession and responds, "You're crazy, you're crazy."

The "Austin" hitmaker also shares that he hopes people will stop making headlines about their relationship. "Any time you see a story about us, it's either that it's a fake relationship or that we're already married," he says. "Or we're gonna get married, or she's on her second set of twins. Or, you know, I'm sneaking behind her back to eat meat. I eat meat right in front of her face!" he continues. Adam, who is known to be his "enemy," chimes in, "Every single one of those things is true!" The Maroon 5 frontman then says that being on the show has helped him shape his work ethics.

The coaches proceed to talk about how they feel about season twelve compared to previous seasons. "It's gonna be the easiest [season] to win for me," Blake states, before playfully adding, "I think we all have a lot of respect for each other. Even though I think Adam looks stupid right now, I do have a lot of respect for him."

Alicia feels that she is more ready for this season. "I felt crazy the first [season]. I didn't know what was coming, how to handle it, what to do. I was just losing my mind," she answers. "This time I feel as passionate but I do have a sense of what to do."

Gwen, who had experienced big changes in her life during the show, reveals that each season is emotionally different for her. "Each season has been so completely different emotionally for me. First season, I had a brand new baby. Second season was like, everybody knows, I had a crazy season. I just can't believe I get to come back. I love being here so much," she says.

"The Voice" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC.
