Tyra reveals that since Eve is 'more adult now', the sequel will feature a 'sexier' Eve which will make viewers go, 'Oh my God Eve does WHAT? Cover your eyes!'
During its upfront presentation in New York, Freeform announced on Wednesday, April 19 that "Life-Size 2" was in production and set to air next year on the network. The sequel of 2000's flick of the same name will once again star Tyra Banks as a doll that comes to life named Eve.
When gracing the red carpet for the event, Tyra revealed what the second film would look like 17 years after the first film. "It was my mom that told me I should do 'Life-Size 2'," said Tyra. "We did three or four versions and then finally, we were like, 'You know what? Eve has grown up now. Let's not do a kiddie movie,' " Tyra added.
"She [Eve] is more adult now, so the storyline is gonna be more adult," she said. She later teased, "It's on Freeform, which you know, it's gonna be a lot sexier, a lot edgier, so a different Eve."
Tyra further gave away details of the "edgier" Eve by saying, "The script is being written right now so even I don't know 100 percent, but it's definitely going to be like, 'Oh my God Eve does WHAT? Cover your eyes!' " She promised that "Life-Size 2" would "be a little more real."
When asked if co-star Lindsay Lohan, who played Eve's little girl best friend Casey in the first flick, would reprise her role, Tyra responded, "I would love for Lindsay to do something. Like, Lindsay, the last time I saw you was, I don't know how many years ago-Every time I see her she gives me a hug like it was back in the day, like she's 10 years old again." She later expressed her wish to have the former Disney darling in the sequel film, "I would love for you to come back and do something for 'Life-Size', will you? Will you?"
No additional cast members have been announced by far as Tyra opened up that they hadn't found the actress to play the young person that would be the owner of Eve in the second film.
"Life-Size 2" is set to bow in December 2018 on Freeform as a part of the network's popular "25 Days of Christmas" programming month.
