Led by previously announced Squirrel Girl, the team of six young people for the upcoming Freeform live-action series includes Mister Immortal, Night Thrasher, Speedball, Microbe and Debrii.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of Freeform's upfront presentation in New York on Wednesday, April 19, the network announced the characters for its upcoming comedic live-action series, titled "Marvel's New Warriors". Led by Squirrel Girl, the team of six youngsters who dream to be superheroes includes a hypochondriac, a lazy immortal as well as a YouTuber.

Doreen Green (Squirrel Girl) is "a totally empowered fangirl" and "a natural leader." The energetic girl is described as someone who is "confident and tough, but not innocent." Her strongest quality is her optimism which makes her have faith in others and inspire people to believe in themselves. She has a pet squirrel named Tippy Toe. Her superpower "is acrobatic, strong, can fight, can talk to squirrels."

Next to be featured on the live-action comedic series is Craig Hollis (Mister Immortal). Just like his name, his superpower is that, according to himself, he cannot die ever, but he will not even prove it. He is the team troublemaker and lothario, though he's "more cocky than confident" and he is "charmingly grumpy" at times. Despite his amazing superpower, he is lazy and doesn't bother to rush things since he believes that he "has all the time in the world to learn how to fight."

Dwayne Taylor (Night Thrasher) is the only team member with no superpower. Dwayne is a local celebrity "hero" and a Youtuber. He is described as "strong, noble, and maybe a bit full of himself." Shameless self-promoter and entrepreneur, Dwayne though strongly believes in justice. Dwayne keeps his rich family background in secret since he's afraid to lose his "street cred."

The team will also include Robbie Baldwin (Speedball), "an impulsive and immature people-pleaser with a misplaced sense of confidence." Robbie grows up with a dream being a hero as he watches Quinjets take off from Avengers Tower. His superpower is that he's able to launch kinetic balls of energy, although he can't completely control his own power.

Zack Smith (Microbe), with his ability to talk with germs, joins the team. It's impossible to keep secret around him since the germs tell him everything. He's a big sweet guy the team takes under their wing. The team also help him find and grow Zack's confidence.

The last member of the team is Deborah Fields (Debrii). Proud, funny and quick witted, Deborah confidently comes out as a lesbian. She has no problem calling people on their bulls**t and has no fear of voicing her opinions. Her superpower is that she has a low level telekinetic and she is also a trickster.

"Marvel's New Warrior" is based on the comics created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz of the same name. The New Warrior first appeared in the "Thor" comic book series back in 1989. Kevin Biegel ("Cougar Town") serves as the showrunner. Beside serving as showrunner, Kevin is set to executive produce alongside Marvel's Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory from "The Punisher" and "Marvel's The Defenders". Meanwhile, Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios co-produce the series.

The cast has not been established yet but the half hour 10-episode series is slated to debut sometime in 2018.
