In related news, Marvel head Kevin Feige has made a response to Brolin's casting and suggests that he doesn't mind Brolin playing Thanos and Cable at the same time.
Following the sketch of Josh Brolin's Cable which was recently shared by Deadpool original creator Rob Liefeld, Brolin himself has just shared a Cable-related image. The actor has taken to his Instagram account to post a "Deadpool 2" pre-production photo, which features himself sitting in a studio with purple head mold covering his face.
"You know, just meditating," writes Brolin in the caption. In addition, Brolin seemingly wants to troll Deadpool depicter Ryan Reynolds as he writes #ryanreynoldsismyb***h as one of the hashtags.
In related news, Marvel head Kevin Feige has made a comment about Brolin's casting, suggesting that it is definitely okay for Brolin to play both Cable and "Avengers: Infinity War" villain Thanos at the same time. "We don't have anything written into our contracts about other roles that people can do," said Feige.
Feige takes Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones and Han Solo as an example, saying that both "are the same person...it hasn't been a problem." The Marvel head adds, "And I think Thanos and Cable are two very different characters."
Nathan Summers a.k.a. Cable is described as a complete opposite of Deadpool, as he has a quality of a leader, but with simmering aura of violence within him. In the comics, Cable is the future son of Scott Summers a.k.a Cyclops from "X-Men".
"Deadpool 2" is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 2, 2018. Reynolds will return to the movie as the titular antihero. Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Karan Soni (Dopinder the taxi driver) and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) are also among the returning actors. "Atlanta" star Zazie Beetz would join the movie as new character Domino.
