And now the 27-year-old singer is said trying to recruit another famous name to be her new BFF. It's OK! which first reports that the country star is begging Meghan Markle to be her next close pal.
According to the webloid, the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" songstress is now "working on rebuilding her squad," and will "try ANYTHING to make her clique cool again." That seemingly means reaching out to the actress girlfriend of Prince Harry.
Citing an insider, the news outlet alleges Taylor's camp is trying to arrange a "girly lunch." Contends the alleged source, "Taylor's determined to include her in her inner circle and is willing to fly to Canada to meet up with her if necessary." It's said that "befriending Meghan" is now the country star's "top priority."
The webloid also claims that the "Shake It Off" hitmaker's girl squad is "depleted." That's why she's allegedly turning to the "Suits" actress. "Taylor's always wanted to crack the aristocratic set and is trying to reconnect with Ed Sheeran, who's in with the Royal Family," adds the alleged source.
Reps for both Taylor and Meghan have yet to respond to the report. Taylor's squad members include actress like Hailee Steinfeld, Cara Delevingne and Sarah Hyland. Singers like Lorde and Selena Gomez as well as models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss are also part of her infamous girl squad.
