The 'Ghost in the Shell' actress calls the First Daughter 'cowardly' and says it's 'dissappointing' that the latter is not voicing her opinion more about her dad's controversial decisions.

AceShowbiz - Scarlett Johansson has been very vocal about her political views. While speaking about "activism and motherhood" in an interview with Arianna Huffington at the Women in the World Summit in New York, the 32-year-old actress called out First Daughter Ivanka Trump for her "old-fashioned" role in the White House.
Scarlett was asked about the "Saturday Night Live" parody she starred in last month, during when she depicted Ivanka as spokesmodel for a perfume called "Complicit". "Oh, man. I've been thinking about Ivanka Trump a lot very recently," she told Arianna in the Thursday, April 6 interview.
"If you take a job as a public advocate, then you must advocate publicly," Scarlett said. "You can't have it both ways." Her comments referred to Ivanka's recent interview with CBS' Gayle King in which she claimed to be the most powerful changemaker from behind the scenes in her dad Donald Trump's administration.
"I thought to myself, 'Well that's empowering,' " Scarlett said, before going on to criticize Ivanka's new role as Assistant to the President in POTUS' administration. The "Ghost in the Shell" actress said that she's "baffled" about why Ivanka's not voicing her opinion more about her dad's decisive policies. Scarlett didn't specifically mention which issues she wanted Ivanka to speak out, though.
"It's such an old-fashioned concept that to be a powerful woman you can't appear to be concerned [with appearances]," Scarlett continued. "Screw that, it's so old-fashioned, it's so uninspired and actually really cowardly. And I was so disappointed by that interview she gave yesterday."
"She has an opportunity to really make a big impact just by being vocal," the Black Widow of "The Avengers" movie series added. "I've met her several times in the past...she's a very well spoken, smart, intelligent woman... the whole situation baffles me."
