AceShowbiz - "Scandal" has given the first look at its "What-If"-themed episode. A preview for the 100th episode offers glimpses of the alt-reality, in which Olivia (Kerry Washington), Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Cyrus (Jeff Perry) never rigged the election years ago. Olivia is wearing a wedding dress, but the groom is still a mystery. Quinn (Katie Lowes) also looks happy, with a man putting a tiara on her head.
The official logline for the episode reads, "With the ugly truth behind Frankie's assassination revealed, a torn Olivia) wonders how different her life - and the country - would be if she, Mellie and Cyrus had never rigged Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn) election."
Goldwyn said at PaleyFest in March about the "What-If"-themed episode, "The 100th episode is insane. It's a 'what if?' episode. It informs in an interesting way. You're seeing an alternate reality if things had not gone the way they went...It's not a standalone. It actually informs your understanding of all of us when we get back to our normal 'Scandal' reality."
Called "The Decision", the 100th episode will air Thursday, April 13 at 9 P.M. ET on ABC.
