Drizzy has given his stamp of approval for the Chicago native to run for mayor in 2019 as he thinks the latter will make a great mayor.

AceShowbiz - Chance The Rapper has made headlines since spearheading huge efforts in support of Chicago Public School. And his continued efforts to improve the education system for young students have made fans launch petition for the 23-year-old rapper to run for mayor in 2019.

The #ChanoForMayor campaign has just received a huge boost, thanks to a co-sign from fellow rapper Drake. Drizzy was hopping into his limo after a night out in L.A. when he was caught by some TMZ cameras. When asked by paparazzi if he thought the Chicago native would make a great mayor, Drizzy responded, "Yeah, I do."

Chance then took to Twitter to express his gratitude. "Thank you @Drake," so the "All We Got" rapper wrote, providing a link to the TMZ report.

Chance's fans have set up a new website for their cause chano4mayor.com, along with a Twitter page @chano4mayor2k19. Its goal is to get the young rapper elected as Mayor of Chicago in 2019. His supporters explain, Chance a.k.a. "Rahm Emanuel has been in office since 2011. In that time we've seen the closure of 50 public schools, the largest in history."

"The city shut down 6 of its 12 mental health clinics. The Department of Justice found a pattern of civil rights violations by the Chicago Police Department, including but not limited to the murder of Laquan McDonald," continues the statement. "It's time for change."
