Primetime Special About Princess Diana's Death Is Set to Air on CBS

Hosted by Gayle King, the new two-hour primetime special will chronicle the four separate investigations after the tragic death of the late Princess of Wales.

AceShowbiz - In honor of 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death, CBS has announced a two-hour primetime special about the late Princess. "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King is set to anchor the primetime special, titled "Princess Diana: Her Life-Her Death-The Truth".

Production team behind "48 Hours" will produce the CBS News special. The special will offer an in-depth look at Diana's life through the eyes of her sons, her impact on Britain, the monarch and the world as well as her death from injuries sustained in a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997.

The primetime special will delve into the four separate investigations in the U.K. and France conducted after the late Princess of Wales' death. Executive produced by Susan Zirinsky, it will also feature new interviews with those who knew her best and use CBS News' archives of the late public figure.

CBS' primetime special is the latest project to tackle Lady Di. Previously, ABC announced an untitled four-hour documentary series marking the 20th anniversary of her death and the docu-series will air over two nights in August. The upcoming second season of FX's "Feud" will also tackle Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

"Princess Diana: Her Life-Her Death-The Truth" will air on Monday, May 22 from 8-10 P.M. on CBS.
