The 'Pillowtalk' hitmaker has shared on Twitter a 28-second audio teaser, which features an animated clip of hand teasing a poodle with a bone that reads 'EXCITED.'

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik has something up his sleeve. The former One Direction member has shared on Twitter a 28-second audio teaser, revealing what seems to be a forthcoming song from the singer.

The short clip features an instrumental track with voices chanting over sitar synth melodies in the background. It is accompanied with a video of an animated hand teasing a poodle with a bone that reads "EXCITED." While the clip has no caption, the "Pillowtalk" hitmaker later tweeted, "Lil taster ... More to come."

Malik's producer Malay recently told Billboard that the singer was working on a collaboration with famed Indian composer AR Rahman, who did the "Slumdog Millionaire" soundtrack. "We're talking about doing a song with him and AR Rahman together and I'm having Zayn in Urdu, it's real similar to Hindi but it's Pakistani language," he said. "It's a modern-sounding song, but for him to sing in that language is kind of powerful."

Meanwhile, an Oscar flub apparently occurred at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where Malik was initially announced as the winner of Best Music Video for "Pillowtalk". However, iHeartRadio announced via Twitter on Tuesday, March 7 that Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign's "Work From Home" music video had actually won the award, which was voted by fans.

Instead of admitting any kind of mistake, iHeartRadio declared that Malik had won a previously unannounced award called "Best Solo Breakout", seemingly to justify his acceptance video. Following the announcement, Fifth Harmony, Ty Dolla as well as their fans seemed a little bit shocked.

"SCREAAAAMING. HARMONIZERS WENT FRCKIN INNNN !!!! THIS IS ALLL FOR YOU GUYS ! Let's go teaaaaam," so the group's Dinah Jane Hansen wrote, while the rapper tweeted, "Wait we won ? Ayeeeeeeeeee !!!! Congrats."
