The 'Falling Skies' star is making broadcast TV return as he's set to topline CBS' legal drama pilot which hails from 'The Good Wife' writer/executive producer Craig Turk.

AceShowbiz - Noah Wyle will return to broadcast TV as the lead on CBS's "Perfect Citizen" pilot. The CBS legal drama has tapped Wyle to play Deck, the former general counsel for NSA.

Wyle's Deck embarks on a new career at a storied law firm in Boston after being involved in an international scandal as a whistleblower. Although half of the country thinks he's the greatest patriot, the other half deems him the exact opposite, a traitor.

Wyle will join previously announced cast member Lenny Platt ("Quantico", "How to Get Away with Murder"). Platt reportedly will play a character named Felix, the brilliant self-proclaimed "alpha associate" at the law firm.

"The Good Wife" alum Craig Turk ("Boston Legal", "Private Practice") will scribe the script of the pilot. Turk is set to executive produce alongside Paris Barclay, who will serve behind the lens. Meanwhile, CBS Television Studios is producing the pilot.

Wyle's role in "Perfect Citizen" marks his return to broadcast TV, following his breakout role as Dr. John Carter on "ER", CBS' prolific medical drama. Appearing in more episodes of the drama than any other cast members, Wyle was one of "ER" original stars, before exiting as a series regular in season 11. He made an appearance on the series as a recurring role in season 12, 15 and the final season.

Wyle's TV credits include cable channel TNT alien drama "Falling Skies" and "The Librarians", which recently got renewed for a fourth season. In the big screen department, Wyle will star opposite Liam Neeson and Diane Lane in an upcoming American spy thriller "Felt".
