Liam Cunningham may hint at the long-awaited return of the HBO hit series in his recent interview.

AceShowbiz - Besides the delay from its usual April premiere date, no one knows when the seventh season of Emmy-winning drama "Game of Thrones" will come out. However, fans now may get a better idea of the premiere date as one of the cast members, Liam Cunningham, seemingly has let slip the date.

"I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April," the actor who portrays Ser Davos Seaworth told Irish Independent. "It's July now, I think," he added, sparking a speculation of a July premiere date.

He went on teasing, "There's going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes." The actor revealed in the interview that the last season of the series would kick off its production in September, as far as he knew.

Probably knowing that his revelation is currently generating a buzz among the series' fans, he backtracked on his remark with a funny Twitter post. He wrote, "Davos don't know date. Mongo only pawn in 'Game of Thrones'. #gameofthronesseason 7."

HBO hasn't commented yet on the alleged premiere date.
