Warner Bros. is developing a movie based on DC Comics' character Nightwing a.k.a. Dick Grayson, who is best known for being the original Robin.

AceShowbiz - Chris McKay can't seem to cut his ties with anything about Batman. After directing "The Lego Batman Movie", the filmmaker is on board another Warner Bros. pic about DC Comics' character Nightwing which is currently being developed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter which first broke the news, McKay is in negotiations to helm the live-action film based on the Batman-centric character, with Bill Dubuque ("The Accountant") serving as the screenwriter. Other details, including a start date and a release date, are not available yet.

Nightwing is the vigilante character adopted by the original Robin, Dick Grayson. Grayson was the youngest member of a family of acrobats known as the Flying Graysons. He was first introduced in "Detective Comics" No. 38 in April 1940. He then became Robin and teamed up with Batman, until he left Batman's fold to become a superhero all his own and became the leader of the Teen Titans.

McKay's "The Lego Batman Movie", which was released on February 10, has Dick Grayson in it, with Michael Cera voicing the character. "Nightwing" will be McKay's live-action feature film debut.
