The singer's recording label, Republic Records, seemingly hinted that Lorde's long-awaited sophomore album would be released next month.

AceShowbiz - Lorde has been busy recording new materials for her long-awaited sophomore album. And now, the singer's recording label, Republic Records, may have inadvertently revealed the release date of her much-anticipated new effort.

A screengrab circulating on Twitter shows that the recording label lists "Lorde (Confidential Title) 3/7" on their agenda for a meeting on next Tuesday, February 21. The company, however, quickly deleted all contents from its website on Friday morning, February 17. If the speculation is right, Lorde will drop her new album on March 7.

Lorde has been teasing her album for months. Back in November, the New Zealand singer posted on Twitter a photo of a pair of earbuds, writing that she liked to "listen to the record on these every day." She added, "wanna hear it exactly you will." She also shared on Facebook an emotional message, discussing her coming of age, her past and her future.

"I'm not a kid anymore, and more and more I'm realizing that the weirdness of those Mylar balloons is going to be okay," so she wrote. "Writing 'Pure Heroine' was my way of enshrining our teenage glory, putting it up in lights forever so that part of me never dies, and this record - well, this one is about what comes next."

Lorde shot to fame after releasing her debut album "Pure Heroine" in 2013. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, while its lead single "Royals" spent nine weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
