Lady GaGa May Have Taken Inspiration for Super Bowl Stunt From 'The Simpsons'

The FOX animated series predicted the 'Million Reasons' hitmaker's Super Bowl halftime performance five years ago.

AceShowbiz - Is one of "The Simpsons" writers psychic? After eerily foreseeing Donald Trump's presidency in a 2000 episode, the show apparently predicted Lady GaGa's Super Bowl halftime performance five years ago. A 2012 episode of the long-running animated series featured the singer doing high-flying stunt.

In the season 23 finale titled "Lisa Goes Gaga", GaGa comes to Springfield to perform a show, flying over the crowd in a harness while wearing a silver outfit. The sequence resembles the "Poker Face" hitmaker's stunt at the Sunday, February 5 show, during which she was suspended by cables over the stage while wearing a sparkling jumpsuit.

Several fans quickly pointed out the similarities. "The Simpsons predicted the Super Bowl omg I AM SHOOK !!!" one Twitter user wrote.

Another tweeted, "FACT : THE SIMPSONS DESIGNED LADY GAGA'S SUPERBOWL BEFORE SHE KNEW SHE WAS PERFORMING ! #HalfTimeShow #PepsiHalftime"

Some others compared GaGa's stunt to that of Spongebob SquarePants in "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" in 2004. "Spongebob did it first," someone posted on Twitter with side-by-side pictures of GaGa and the iconic yellow character.
