The former Governor of California reveals he once wanted to smash the president's face into the table in response to Trump's jab about 'The Celebrity Apprentice' ratings.

AceShowbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in a heated war of words with Donald Trump for a while. The president even recently slammed the actor for the low ratings of "The Celebrity Apprentice", which the actor is now hosting. The "Terminator" actor hilariously responded to the jab by offering Trump to switch jobs with him. In a latest interview, he addressed the issue about all the brawling he had with the President.

The 69-year-old actor offered his bluntest comments about Trump when speaking to Men's Journal, for which he will grace the cover of the March issue. During the interview, Schwarzenegger revealed that taking over "The Celebrity Apprentice" was, in fact, his own idea. "I'd never done a reality-TV show and thought it would be interesting," he opened up. He added, "When Trump started running for office, I said to myself, 'Obviously he can't do both.' " Later, he got in touch with the show's creator, Mark Burnett, and met with the brass at NBC before he was hired. He continued, "They said, 'Let's do a season and see what happens.' "

However, his opening-night ratings didn't do well which prompted Trump to post a tweet to slam Arnold. Trump said on his tweet, "Wow, the ratings are in, and Arnold Schwarzenegger got 'swamped' (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT...But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary." At the mention of the tweet, Schwarzenegger laughed as he recalled what he said to himself at that time, "Don't get into a stinking contest with a skunk."

Although he said he didn't want to play along with Trump's game, he revealed that it tempted him to channel his "Terminator" character to handle the President. "I called my assistant and said, 'I think what we really should do is request a meeting and go back to New York. And then we just smash his face into the table," he jokingly said. He continued, "And then I think we can't do that, either. I think I have to be above all of that and put him on the spot."

Instead of really channeling his robot killer character, he ended up doing something less "Terminator" as he tweeted a sarcastic reply. In his tweet he said, "There's nothing more important than the people's work. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings."

Beside talking about Trump and their contest, Schwarzenegger also shared a few tips on body building. He suggested to start with heavy weights and keep dropping the weight while increasing the reps. "You're basically shredding the muscles, and they don't know what to do. They have no choice except to panic and grow bigger," he explained.
