Samantha Bee Compares Donald Trump to 'Gilmore Girls' Brat

Elsewhere, Matthew McConaughey urges people to embrace Trump and be constructive with the president over the next four years.

AceShowbiz - Samantha Bee mocked Donald Trump again after he fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates for defying his order to ban Muslim immigrants. This time Bee compared the president to "Gilmore Girls" snobby kid Paris Geller on her show "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" on TBS.

"Remember on 'Gilmore Girls' when Paris Geller staffed the school newspaper with her most loyal friends with no regard for talent level. It's like that but with the leader of the free world and nukes," said Bee. "If you disagree with the tenets of Trumpism, there is no place for you within the government."

The comedian also featured Adam Driver's "Star Wars" character Kylo Ren, who's seen screaming, "Traitor!" Bee then mentioned the 37th POTUS Richard Nixon as she explained that Nixon took three years to compile his enemies list, unlike Trump and his team, who have already called the media "the opposition party" in less than two weeks. Bee said, "Sorry, guys, at the rate Trump is going, you'll probably have to settle for starting World War IV."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Andrew Marr on BBC One, Matthew McConaughey urged people to accept the fact that Trump is now the President of the United States. "He's our president," said the actor. "And it's very dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration and time that we've ever had."

McConaughey continued, "At the same time, it's time for us to embrace, shake hands with this fact, and be constructive with him over the next four years." He added, "So, even those who most strongly may disagree with his principles or things he's said and done, which is another thing, we'll see what he does compared to what he had said - no matter how much you even disagreed along the way, it's time to think about how constructive can you be. Because he's our president for the next four years. At least."
