The 'Real Housewives of New York City' star files a police complaint after her ex-husband allegedly stalked and harassed her.

AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel's ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, was arrested for allegedly stalking and harassing her. Frankel filed a police complaint after Hoppy showed up at their 6-year-old daughter's school and threatened her and her new beau, Dennis Shields, on Friday, January 27.

According to Frankel's complaint, she was verbally attacked by Hoppy after dropping off her daughter to school. Hoppy threatened Frankel by screaming at her that he would "destroy" her. He also approached Frankel and Shields to say, "Okay I see. This is how you want to do this. Okay. You can play your game. It doesn't matter. You can get 10 lawyers. There's nothing you can do to stop me. You'll be sorry. You've been warned. I can't help it. She's pure evil. You've been warned. Don't say I didn't warn you."

Hoppy was later arrested in his Manhattan apartment at noon, only four hours after the incident. Prior to the incident, Hoppy had sent his ex-wife more than 150 emails in less than three months and made numerous FaceTime calls. Through those emails and calls, the businessman told Frankel that "he would not go away" and "he had no choice but to go extremes."

An NYPD spokesperson said that Hoppy was charged with harassment in the second degree and stalking in the fourth degree for contacting the "female victim numerous times via email and FaceTime as well as approaching her and making verbal threats." And Frankel was granted a restraining order that requires Hoppy to stay away from his ex-wife's house, place of business and their daughter's school for six months. He's also not allowed to make any communication with Frankel.

Hoppy's lawyer, Robert C. Gottlieb, responded to the charges pressed against his client with a statement, "There are no words to express how saddened Mr. Hoppy is over his ex-wife's unjustified actions. His only concern is his daughter and intends to vigorously fight these false charges."

Frankel and Hoppy ended their marriage in 2012. Frankel stated that she "endured years of mental and psychological abuse" throughout the marriage. She also once said, "I have cried enough tears to fill the Hudson River. I'd think, how could this go on for so long? Four years on a two-year marriage!"
