ABC's fairytale-themed series is reportedly planning a musical episode, which is set to air sometime this spring.

AceShowbiz - "Once Upon a Time" is heading to musical direction. The fairytale-themed series is reportedly preparing a musical episode, which is slated to premiere sometime in the spring. However, there's no confirmation from ABC's spokesperson regarding the news, TVLine has reported.

The musical episode has been considered by the producers for quite some time now. Back at 2015's Comic-Con, series co-creator Eddy Kitsis said in an interview, "It would be great to do a musical episode, [but] I don't even know where to begin."

"Once Upon a Time" is pretty much a soap opera about Disney movies like "Frozen (2013)", "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin". And Disney fans might know that most of Disney characters can sing very well. But the question is, who will sing on the series?

"We all sing," Jennifer Morrison said in a statement back in 2011. "Josh Dallas, Ginny Goodwin, me." The actress added, "I don't know if Robert Carlyle sings. He probably does. I feel like we have a lot of musically inclined people in the cast. We'll see."

"Once Upon a Time" returns with the second half of season six starting on Sunday, March 5 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
