The country singer dishes on why he won't be performing at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration, while the 'Dreamgirls' star says she received death threats.

AceShowbiz - Two more names have been ruled out of performing at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration to be held this Friday. New reports reveal that country singer Garth Brooks and "Dreamgirls" actress Jennifer Holliday have canceled their appearances, and they have their valid reasons for it.

After previously indicating he's open to the idea, Garth has dished on why he won't be performing at the inauguration via his Facebook page. The 54-year-old singer revealed in the Monday, January 16 post that he canceled it due to his tour schedule.

Garth explained that he was approached by his friend Steve Wynn, who's also the inauguration organizer, about taking part at the event, and "left it up to karma." He said, "If Cincinnati goes two weekends instead of one, then of course we are out. Sure enough, Cincinnati did five shows, two weekends and backed us up into there, so we got knocked out of it."

"I'm going to tell you, with this whole presidential thing: We've got one going out, pray for him and his family. And for the president going in, pray for him and his family to guide this nation," he added. "Let's stay together. Love, unity, that's what it's all about."

Jennifer, meanwhile, previously also said that she would be performing at the inauguration, but she bailed out due to demonstrating solidarity with the LGBT community. However, her real concern turns out to be her family's safety, as she's reported to get death threats upon agreeing to sing at the upcoming event.

A rep for Jennifer reveals to TMZ that both the death threats and the LGBT concern were factors in her decision. "She wasn't scared to perform," the rep claims, adding, "She didn't want to put her family at risk based on the death threats and she also didn't want to offend the LGBT community which was especially upset that a past ally would perform on a program with President-Elect Donald Trump."
