Following Bella's decision to unfollow Selena and multiple reports saying she's hurt by the two singers' budding relationship, TMZ learned from sources close to the "Hands to Myself" hitmaker that the ladies were never close friends.
While Selena is extremely close to Taylor Swift, whose famous squad also includes Bella's sibling Gigi Hadid, the 24-year-old beauty and the Hadid sisters aren't BFFs. Therefore, she didn't feel the need to say anything to Bella before she started seeing the model's ex-boyfriend.
The Weeknd broke up with Bella back in November. The sources told TMZ that the "Starboy" singer started hanging out with Selena before the holidays, though they didn't spend time together for the celebrations.
According to a previous report by E! News, Bella isn't pleased about The Weeknd's new relationship not only because she felt betrayed by Selena, but also because she still loves her ex-beau. "She is actually not over The Weeknd. She still loves him," a source recently told the site, adding that the two exes "are on fine terms, but she is bitter about the romance with Selena."
