The former Fox News anchor, who famously filed a sexual harassment suit against her former boss, is set to appear as a guest host on the NBC morning talk show in the new year.

AceShowbiz - Gretchen Carlson will return to TV for the first time since her legal battle against her former boss Roger Ailes this summer. The former Fox News anchor is set to guest host the 9 A.M. hour of "Today" show on Tuesday, January 3.

Gretchen announces the news via her social media accounts. "Excited to be guest hosting the 9am hour of the @todayshow Tuesday January 3rd," she writes on Instagram and Twitter, "Pls join me @nbc for announcements! #freshstart #newyear #2017 #nevergiveup."

Former "Today" co-anchor Katie Couric will also make her return to the NBC morning show in 2017, filling in as guest-host during the week of January 2 as Savannah Guthrie's maternity leave continues. "Today" has also tapped Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales as co-anchors for a week each in January.

Gretchen filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Roger back in July, ultimately forcing him to resign from Fox News. In September, the network's parent company 21st Century Fox agreed to pay the 50-year-old news anchor $20 million to settle the lawsuit and issued an apology to her.
