A bunch of Twitter users also express desire to protect the 94-year-old beloved actress and hide her until 2016 ends.

AceShowbiz - The world has already lost so many famous faces this year it's not ready to say goodbye to another star. Following Carrie Fisher's death, everyone now keeps an eye on Betty White, hoping the 94-year-old beloved actress will make it to 2017.

Someone is even willing to make sure White is okay until this weekend. A dude from Spartanburg, South Carolina named Demetrios Hrysikos has just set a GoFundMe page, through which people can donate money that he will use to "fly to where ever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan 1 , 2017."

But in case White doesn't want a stranger like him to stay outside her door, Hrysikos will give all the money to "the Spartanburg little theater to help craft new stars of stage and screen to carry mantle of the legends that have left us this year." He is seeking $2,000 goal and has so far collected $365 from more than 30 supporters.

Turns out, Hrysikos isn't the only one who wants to protect White. After learning of Fisher's passing, #BettyWhite became a trending topic on Twitter thanks to tons of users who want to protect the star and hide her until 2016 ends.

"Bro 2016 is savage! We lost Prince, George Michael, & Carrie Fisher, someone check on Betty white, Patti LaBelle & Aretha Franklin," user @iam_jeremyscott wrote on Tuesday, December 27. "Time to build a wall, for 4 days, around Betty White, Kurt Russell, Tom Hanks, Oprah, Paul McCartney, & Neil Patrick Harris," @EricKennedy20 said.

"BETTY WHITE. LOCK THE DOORS! PULL THE CURTAINS!!! DON'T. LEAVE. THE. HOUSE!!!!" @thatfunnyjew tweeted. "If I'm Betty White right now I'm not getting out of bed until Sunday," @JoshCohenRadio added.

Best known for playing Princess Leia in "Star Wars" movies, Fisher passed away several days after she had cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. The actress, who has been traveling the world to promote her new book "The Princess Diarist", reportedly suffered heart attack 15 minutes before her plane was scheduled to land. She was rushed to UCLA Medical Center and allegedly never regained consciousness.
