The 'SOA' series creator lays out plans for the prequel focusing on nine men who started the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club.

AceShowbiz - "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter once shared his plan of telling the story of the founding members of Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club (SAMCRO), but the prequel seems to be abandoned as he's working on another spin-off, "Mayans MC". Sutter, however, has now assured everyone that the possible prequel series about the First 9 isn't dead yet.

On Tom Arnold's podcast "100|percent| Honest Pretty Much...", Sutter shared his vision of telling the Sons of Anarchy story in four chapters, with "SOA" and "Mayans" being the first two. He said that the third chapter would be about John Teller's (Jax's father) manuscript and how the club came about.

"We'll find a way to shine a little light on perhaps John Teller's manuscript, if we're lucky enough to continue. And then what I would do is, not directly, but I would use that as a potential launching point to do the prequel. And that to me is a one off, it's like 10 episodes - it's not a series. And whether we do that in between seasons on 'Mayans' I'm not sure, but that would sort of happen tangentially to that," he said.

Sutter went on revealing plot details of the possible "First 9" prequel, "It would begin in Vietnam with John Teller and Piney Winston and it would be about them coming back to America. Ideally to do each episode have a new member join. Maybe at that point Gemma's there but it's before Jax is born."

In the meantime, fans can look forward to "Mayans MC" which has received pilot order from FX. The potential new series focuses on the Hispanic biker gang which was led by Emilio Rivera's Marcus Alvarez on the original show.
