The remake of William A. Wellman's 1973 film of the same name that will also mark Cooper's directorial debut is scheduled to arrive in the U.S. in fall of 2018.

AceShowbiz - "A Star Is Born" remake finally gets a release date. Warner Bros. has announced that the movie starring Academy Award nominees Bradley Cooper, who will also make his directing debut, and Lady GaGa is scheduled to be released in theaters across the U.S. on September 28, 2018.

The studio has also set release dates for "Everything, Everything" and "Rampage". The adaptation of Nicola Yoon's novel starring Nick Robinson ("Jurassic World") and Amandla Stenberg ("The Hunger Games") is set for an August 18, 2017 release, while Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's action thriller will open on April 20, 2018.

"Everything, Everything" will be up against Lionsgate/Ryan Reynolds's "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and Sony's "Flatliners" reboot. The Rock's movie will compete with an untitled R-rated comedy from Universal on its spring release date. In "Rampage", the former wrestler will reunite with his "San Andreas" helmer, Brad Peyton, and scribe, Carlton Cuse.

Meanwhile, Cooper's "A Star Is Born" is currently the only title set on that date. In addition to being Cooper's directorial debut, the musical remake will mark GaGa's first lead role in a feature film. Both superstars are expected to begin filming in early next year in California. The screenplay is written by Will Fetters ("The Lucky One", "The Best of Me").
