The 'Hands to Myself' hitmaker is reportedly planning to make her first stage return since entering rehab at the upcoming American Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez will be reportedly making her highly-anticipated comeback at the 2016 American Music Awards. Rumor has it, "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer wants to kick off her stage return since entering rehab at the upcoming annual awards show.

"Selena wants her first appearance back in front of her fans to be special and so if she does decide to do the appearance at the AMAs, she will want to do it big with perhaps a dazzling performance or a major announcement," a source tells HollywoodLife.com.

While both Selena and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber are nominated for Artist of the Year at the 2016 AMAs, it's unlikely they will cross path at the event.

"Selena Gomez is relieved that Justin has tour dates on the night of the AMAs," the source adds, "With Justin unlikely to make an appearance at the show there is less stress surrounding the event for Selena. Even though Selena will always love Justin, it does make things easier for her knowing her ex-boyfriend will likely not be there."

Hosted by Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah, the 44th annual AMAs will feature performances from Bruno Mars, Sting, John Legend, Fifth Harmony, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Twenty One Pilots, Shawn Mendes, Lady GaGa, Green Day, James Bay, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd.

The event will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 20 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
