The 'Allied' actor has filed a response to his estranged wife's divorce filing, seeking joint physical and legal custody of their six children.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt has responded to Angelina Jolie's divorce filling. The "Allied" actor filed on Friday, November 4 his first legal paperwork in his divorce from Angelina. He is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their six children.

The custody of Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne has been a major point of contention between Brad and Angelina in their ongoing divorce battle. In her September 19 divorce filing, the "Maleficent" actress requested sole physical custody with visitation rights for Brad.

While representatives for Brad and Angelina haven't responded to a request for comment, a source claims that their divorce war will continue.

"There has been a lot of damaging information leaked about Brad from Jolie's camp, but in the past month, things have quietened down," the source tells Page Six, "Now he is challenging Jolie and asking for joint custody of the kids, there is an expectation that there will be more attacks from her camp."

According to OK! Magazine, Pax and Shiloh want to live with Brad. "Recently, Pax and Shiloh told Angelina that they'd prefer to live with their father," a source claimed, "Pax and Shiloh have always had a strong bond and both of them have long felt more compatible, emotionally, with Brad. If Pax and Shiloh really want to be with Brad, she's in an unwinnable situation. How can you claim you're doing what's best for the kids when you're ignoring their stated wishes?"

While there's no word on which parent Zahara, Knox and Vivienne want to live with, Maddox allegedly wants to stay with Angelina.
