Dave Chappelle Set to Host 'SNL' for First Time

The former Comedy Central star is announced to serve as a host during the first post-election episode of 'Saturday Night Live'.

AceShowbiz - Dave Chappelle is heading to "Saturday Night Live". The standup comedian who rarely made TV appearance since leaving his Comedy Central show in 2005 has been booked as an "SNL" host on November 12. It will mark his hosting debut on the sketch show.

The funnyman will be joined by A Tribe Called Quest in the first post-election episode. The group is celebrating "We Got It From Here ... Thank You 4 Your Service", their first new album in 18 years. They are expected to perform songs from the record.

Meanwhile, "SNL" will welcome Benedict Cumberbatch and Solange Knowles for the first time this weekend. The actor is on press tour for his Marvel movie "Doctor Strange" and the singer is promoting her latest album "A Seat at the Table".
